Maximilian’s last Triumph

It occurs to me that most of what I have accomplished during my years of existence is already slipping away into oblivion, like sand running through the narrows of the hourglass.  What will be left of me when I am gone? What of all the work projects I have been so busy with all my life? The only people still vaguely remembering me are those of my own age, who will soon be gone as well as I will be.
